- Directing the Veolia/Costain j.v. Bid Team for fixed price tender
of the £100m Shell Green incinerator & post-tender BAFO, Preferred
Bidder negotiations through to successful contract award.
- Market review of UK Energy from Waste market and creation of 3 year Business Plan.
- Leading business turn-a-round to deliver target revenue, cash flow and profitability for Veolia.
- Delivery of major capital programmes to time, cost & quality, responsible for $1.0bn of major capital projects with Bechtel.
- Introduction of the EFQM “Business Excellence Model” to develop strategic change plans.
- Member of CEO’s confidential team to source & secure a $1.5bn strategic world-wide alliance with Bechtel.
- Weir Group representative to DTi/UKT&I Iraq Working Party
responsible for promoting the interests of UK industry for post Gulf
War 2 reconstruction and institutional strengthening.
- Managed and won the first competitively bid UK PFI Ww Design & Build project.
- Sourcing the acquisition of Engineering Consulting & Process Technology companies.
- Overhauled Project Management procedures & systems to introduce Best Practice
- Implemented an Earned Value time/cost scheduling system using Primavera & JD Edwards.
