Our client is an independent consultancy focussed on delivering
structural engineering solutions to the timber frame/cold formed steel
structure sector. The company was formed 10 years ago. Our client is
part of a larger group of companies.
The clients’site is in the Bristol area and currently has circa 25
staff with a £1.5M T/O. All staff are degree qualified or
professionally trained in their areas of expertise.
The client is looking for the succesful interim manager to help put in
place robust business processes to allow the business to acheive its
growth potential. As a result they are looking for an Interim
Commercial Director for a period of 3-6 months on either a full-time or
part-time basis.

Job Pricing
Contract Management
Work Scheduling
Programme & Delivery
Cost Control
Resource Management
Invoicing & Credit Control
Internal Reporting
The successful candidate will also be required to provide some coaching
and mentoring to the existing senior management team in Bristol.
Their Ideal Candidate…..
Must have worked in the professional services sector e.g. Consultancy etc
Structural Engineering/Civil Engineering background
preferred but not essential – in fact in many ways a complete outsider
to the industry may be able to cast a more forensic eye over their
business model/processes.
Experience of Business Processing Engineering / Change Management
Personality must command respect
Be able to coach and mentor existing management team
Be objective and not subjective
Be Hands on and able to lead by example
